CoA Projects Book 2010 Preview

We are glad that everyone is so curious about the book and that you're excited to know everything about it before you buy it. We won't tell you whether or not your work is in the book, that is part of the excitement. What we will tell you is that the book covers a wide variety of projects and is an excellent representation of the work that is produced in our College of Architecture. While we were very selective about what made the cut, you should know a very large percentage of the submissions made it into the book in some form. We invite you to take a look through our sneak preview and see what this book is all about.

It's Here.

It is finally time to purchase your copy of the 2010 COA Projects. We will be accepting pre-orders for the book all week. The book will be available for pickup at the book launch on May 4th, 2010. It is important to Pre-Order your book since there will be no extra books to purchase at the launch. The next order of books will most likely take place in September, so buy a book today.

The CoA Projects Book will come in two varieties, Soft Cover and Hard Cover. The book is 240 pages and contains over 140 student projects. It will have photographic essays on Lubbock, the Architecture building and Studio Culture. It will contain three wonderful texts describing why we exist here as an architecture school in West Texas. It contains some of the absolute best drawings, models photos, digital renderings and diagrams created in our college. It exhibits insightful profiles about the submitters and includes interesting information about the projects.

The editorial team will be answering questions in the main lobby during the lunch hour to direct you for payments and to collect your information for deliveries. The procedure for purchasing the book will be making payment to your print account and designating the funds towards the cost of the book. All purchases can be made in the print bureau office, with a credit card all this week between the hours of 8am - 5pm.

Make sure to Pre-Order your book, to show your family, to show your friends to have a record of what you and your peers have accomplished in architecture school.

Prices are $55 for Soft Cover and $75 for Hard Cover.

The New CoA Student Publication Needs Your Projects

All Students

This spring our College of Architecture will initiate a significant new publication that will showcase the best student work produced by all of you. A team of five will be putting together a book of architectural projects created by current and former students of the CoA at TTU. We would like to invite you to join our pursuit of making an extraordinary inaugural edition by submitting your best architectural work undertaken at our college. Submissions can vary from drawings, sketches, plans, sections, renderings, photographs, digital art work, analog scans, diagrams, etc.

All entries will be reviewed, evaluated, and selected by our editorial team. The best work will be added to the publication and will be used to showcase what we do here at the College of Architecture at Texas Tech. This book will be a great first opportunity to have your work published. The book will give your friends and family a better understanding what it is you do at architecture school. It can be retained as a reminder of your time at the college or given as gifts to people you know. This publication will become an artifact that the student body and faculty will be proud to share with the world. We will be accepting submissions throughout the month of January 2010 and the book will be available for purchase in late April 2010.

In the next few weeks you will receive additional information regarding where and how to submit the work, including submission deadlines. Please contact us at anytime if you need advice on submissions or have any questions.

If you have any questions please contact us at: coa.book.2010@gmail.com
