The undergraduate architecture program has two components: general architecture and preprofessional architecture. Admission to the general architecture program is open to all students admitted into the university. Admission into the preprofessional program in the second-year is competitive and based on a comprehensive review of the student’s portfolio, essay, statement of intent, and grade point average. In order to apply, students must successfully complete the following courses with a minimum grade of "C" : ARCH 1301, ARCH 1302, ARCH 1311, and ARCH 1353. Transfer students who have taken Architecture classes at other institutions and wish to have their work reviewed for placement in the preprofessional program should contact Anna Martinez-Lopez for information on how to apply.
