Victor F. “Trey” Trahan, III, FAIA is President and Principal-in-Charge of Trahan Architects, APAC, and has been recognized and published both nationally and internationally for innovative design and creative use of materials. An accomplished designer, Mr. Trahan received the 2005 Architecture Review Emerging Architecture Award in London, one of three firms in the world to receive this recognition and the only U.S. firm honored. In 2007, Trahan Architects was one of only five U.S. firms on Wallpaper Magazine’s list of the world’s 101 best emerging design firms.

Mr. Trahan was one of 22 U.S. architects featured in the book, “Arquitectos Americanos”, published in Barcelona, Spain to recognize the work of America’s most outstanding architects. Trahan’s design of Holy Rosary Church is featured on both the front and back covers of the book and is the only design to earn a spot on the book cover.

Mr. Trahan was elected to the AIA College of Fellows in 2006 at the age of 45 and in 2007 participated in The Architectural League of New York’s 25th Anniversary Emerging Voices Lecture Series, an independent forum that recognizes architects whose work is gaining national and international attention.

He is the recipient of three National AIA Honor Awards in five years, and has won three international design competitions in Beijing, China. He is fluent in all phases of design and construction administration, and has served as principal-in-charge on projects up to $1 billion. He is currently teaching a graduate level design studio at MIT School of Architecture and Planning in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The studio focuses on designs for coastal landscape.
