38 Hour Certificate in Community Design

The College of Architecture's Master of Science in Architecture with certificate of specialization in Community Design and Development (CD) is a multidisciplinary program that focuses the complex realm connecting architecture, urban design, and urban planning at different scales and establishing linkages between theory and practice. There are three major areas of faculty interest in the CD program. They are community design, urban design and planning.

The Community Development program consists of 32 hours of course work that explores new solutions for accommodating ever-changing community and urban conditions while sustaining the quality of life of all citizens.

In addition to the course work the student will be required to produce a thesis (6 hours).
