workshop details

Hosted by: Dana Campbell (Denny Mingus will be on hand for additional IT assistance.)

Time: 1-3pm (the computer lab is reserved till 4:00 and I’ll be available for those who want to stay and work a little longer.)

This workshop is for any faculty or staff members who are interested in learning how to access and create a presence on the new COA website. If you want to learn how to create custom pages for your courses and/or research, list upcoming events, create links, import images, etc. that’s what will be covered in this “hands-on” workshop.

Each participant will work individually on a computer, creating their own page(s) as they’re guided through the ways and workings of our new website.

If you’re interested in attending please see me before or after the faculty meeting tomorrow to sign up and receive additional information for the workshop. There are 25 computer stations in the lab and I want to make sure everyone has access to a computer.

In two hours we'll barely scratch the surface of what's possible with this new site. But we’ll have a great time and for those wanting to use the new website, this workshop will give you a jumpstart before the semester begins.

OK, I really had some info here but I forgot to save page and closed out after a preview only. The previous statement will make better sense to you after Tuesday's workshop.

Here's the down and low for workshop reqs.:

You'll get the most out of the workshop if you bring a few items w/you on either a flash drive or CD.

  • Images - to keep it simple bring only JPGS sized not to exceed 1000pxs in width or 350pxs in height.
  • Media files (in pdf, doc. or docx.) of course materials, research, etc. would also be helpful in creating a page.

No files should exceed 8MB.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at dana.campbell@ttu.edu. See you Tuesday, Aug. 25th at 1:00pm in room 903.
