Events Page
- Simplifying the Special:Events page is fine. As it is a custom template it will require Denny to hard code the material, so it will probably be good to provide a clean comp of what is desired and that can be implemented. We still need to sort out the different subscription calendar names brought up on the Web To Do discussion page. Perhaps the thing to do is create a separate page called Event Subscriptions where we list and define the different calendars that can be subscribed to. Then Special:Events could just have a link to that page instead of to the actual subscriptions. Part of the confusion is with the names of the current calendars cited in at Web To Do discussion page and part of it is presenting to many choices at this point. I agree that putting out something simple now is desirable, however i can imagine the overload that will occur soon when the events functionality is put into full use. Having some way to differentiate between the grab bag and the official stuff will be important for the subscribers. --Christopher Taylor ( chritayl ) 19:50, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
