The Distinguished Alumnus Search 2013

Call for Nominations

The College of Architecture Advisory Council of Texas Tech University invites nominations of outstanding graduates to be considered for the prestigious Distinguished Architecture Alumni Award 2013. Individuals may be nominated in any one of the following categories that most clearly defines his or her professional qualities and degree of dedication to the field of architecture. Deadline for nominations is June 3, 2013.

Categories & Criteria:

A. Distinguished Architectural Practice

1. Exemplary buildings and projects recognized by peer evaluation in the form of awards, publications and other citations over a period of time.
2. Contributions to the profession and professional associations.
3. Contributions to the profession in some unique way, such as new code development, structure evaluation after a natural disaster, development of youth programs.

B. Distinguished Community or Public Service

1. Service to the public in a recognized manner, including but not limited to, election or appointment to public office, leadership in community development, recognition of service at any level from neighborhood to national, distinction in military service, acts of significant benevolence or heroic acts

C. Distinguished Contributions to Education, Publication, Research

1. Contributions to education, publication or documented research
2. Contributions or recognition in a professionally related field, e.g. illustration, photography or journalism

D. Distinguished Alumni Spirit

1. Documented service to and support of the College of Architecture and/or Texas Tech University.

The Kleinschmidt Award 2013

Call for Nominations
The Kleinschmidt Award was established by the Texas Tech Architecture Advisory Council to recognize any individual, alumni or non-alumni, or firm whose commitment or service has enriched the College of Architecture. The award is named after the first leader of the Texas Tech Architecture Program, Professor Florian A. Kleinschmidt. Deadline for nominations is June 3, 2013.

Categories & Criteria:
Advances the cause, goals and spirit of the College of Architecture in some unique way through service, representation, contribution and best interest relative to any or all of the following:
• Awareness
• Recruitment
• Community Involvement
• Employment
• Philanthropy
• Professional Practice (Not Limited to Architecture)
• Research
• Teaching
• Administration

2013 Kleinschmidt Nomination Form

The TTU COA Alumni Design Award 2013

The Texas Tech University College of Architecture (TTUCoA) Alumni Design Award seeks to recognize significant architectural projects by architects who are graduates of the University to promote the accomplishments of the alumni, and to simply showcase the talents of our incredible graduates. Deadline for entry is July 12, 2013.

Recognition of Awards

Recipients of the Distinguished Alumni, Kleinschmidt, and Alumni Design Awards will be recognized at the TTU Architecture Alumni Reception held in conjunction with the Texas Society of Architects annual meeting later in 2013.
