Visualization Courses
From TTU College of Architecture
- ARCH 5102: Graduate Colloquium Prerequisite: College approval. Critical readings, discussions, and writing assignments on a range of interdisciplinary issues and theoretical positions. May be repeated for credit. (Writing Intensive)
- ARCH 5341: Internet Media Design (Core) The student shall develop the toolsets, methods and skills necessary to design interactive web sites, utilizing the state of the art 3D technologies (real-time viewers, panoramas, video, etc.)
- ARCH 5343: 3D Computer Animation and Imaging. (Core) A course in the theory, tools, and methods of three-dimensional computer animation. The student shall become aware of the theory, principles and concepts of computer assisted animation of virtual environments.
- ARCH 5344: Virtual Reality Rendering and Software Technology A course in the theory, tools, and methods of three-dimensional computer real-time rendering and software technology. The student shall become aware of the theory, principles and concepts of 3D real-time computer graphics.
- ARCH 5345: Digital Visualization Studio(Core) Students shall pursue the design and visualization of digital environments for design communication, research simulation, entertainment or gaming, synthesizing the theory, principles, methods, skills and techniques necessary to complete a three-dimensional computer graphic project(s).
- ARCH 5315: Systems of Inquiry An investigation into the schools of thought and methods of inquiry including craft of research with a focus on writing, reading and critical thinking.
- ARCH 5347: 3-D Digital Visualization(3:2:2) A study of the concepts, principles, and techniques of three-dimensional digital modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
- ARCH 6000: Thesis (MS in Arch. requirement) Written Thesis Requirement
- ARCH 7000: Research (Thesis approval) Preliminary research for master thesis to create the students Thesis Problem Statement and identify committee members.
